Sasha Allen, the openly-transgender female transgender singer who made it onto the Live Shows on The Voice made history in their first appearance. Sasha Allen was the very first in 21 years of The Voice competitions that Sasha had made it beyond The Battle Rounds. The duo, are from Newtown, Conn., have taken the show one step higher to make it into the top 8! Sasha admitted that he is transgender during their package to participate in their participation in the Blind Auditions, and he stated to Parade.com that this was a choice that was a matter of thought and reflection. Sasha confessed that it was difficult to come up with a choice because he had to display a vulnerable aspect of himself in front of millions and millions. He made the transition while it was still high school. "But last week, during the fan week], watching the support of fans and their reactions and the way it affected the people showed the decision was worthwhile and an appropriate choice although it was difficult to take." "'Have You Ever Seen the Rain' is one of the songs that was included on the list of songs that we'd wanted to play on the show for a many years," Sasha told Parade.com. The song was performed before The Voice even existed. It was a joy at the time we received the song. We already knew the song and had some thoughts on how to arrange it. It was quite amazing in the extent to which they had hit the nail right on the head." Transgender Transgender Transgender
