Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn has been an American actor in film as well as stage since the end of the 1970s. She's been an professional actor for over 27 years. In the year 1990, she made her stage debut with an Off-Broadway performance of The Big Funk written by John Patrick Shanley. The Perfect Tribute. A year later, her TV debut was The Perfect Tribute. In 1992, she earned her first big break by being a part of the film Basic Instinct as a supporting role. It was in The Firm however that she got the role of leading female character for the very first time and that too opposite stars like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. The 1990s saw her professional career was a collaboration with Hollywood's top stars such as Gwyneth on Sliding Doors, Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes, and Julie Andrews Relative Values. Recenty, she played Dr Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
