Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She is the host of Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and her edgy personality on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals an easy and straightforward techniques for home cooks. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. Following her graduation with an English and Communication degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the business of restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent the most enjoyable time of my life. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was an excellent place to study. After graduation, chef Burrell spent a period of time in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working for La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. While in Italy she came to comprehend and appreciate the philosophy behind Italian cuisine and culture which left a lasting impact in her viewpoint. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children living with challenges. She is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador, where she promotes the awareness of juvenile diabetes. Burrell travels extensively across the nation in her capacity as both a mentor and an invited speaker, where she talks about her work and passion for cooking. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate in that she could share her true passion with the people around her.
